How Paris and France are gradually reopening

As restaurants, cafés, bars and hotels start to reopen, so are most monuments and museums.

New post-lockdown map of France released by the French government on June 2

Since March 17, the lockdown in France meant that the museums and monuments of Paris were closed as a health precaution. For a city as rich in art and history as Paris, it created a painful absence. Parisians love their museums as much as visitors do; seeing the latest exhibition is part of the culture here.

The restrictions have been effective, however, and our shared sacrifice has paved the way for reopenings across the country. Soon visitors, at least from within the European Union, will be arriving again. Here's a list of public museums and monuments and when their doors will be open again.
