From our Gazette news section:

All Storytellers

You have enjoyed a successful literary career with six books published as well as producing scripts for several television series. What techniques from your career as an author do you like to employ when leading Journeys?

When you write a script or a book you need to create tension and emotion, so I try to build the journeys in the same way. While the beginning of a journey consists of setting the scene, presenting the protagonists, I like to indulge into a small digression, to go off the beaten track leading the visit to an end with a sort of climax.

The Galerie de Bayser is a gem hidden in a 17th-century courtyard. How did you come to know of the Galerie de Bayser and what about the gallery made you feel that it would be a fantastic Journey?

Being part of a group of friends who are art dealers, I got the chance to meet with Patrick de Bayser 10 years ago during our holidays spent together in Brittany. I had a project about counterfeiters for TV, so we started exchanging about the matter, and then I had the chance to discover the gallery and the expertise of de Bayser, which apart from being recognized internationally, has remained a discrete family business. I love the unchanged place, infused with incredible stories and history living within the walls.
