Gina Rarick
Gina trains racing thoroughbreds in Maisons-Laffitte after a career in journalism with the International Herald Tribune.
Gina has been training racing thoroughbreds in Maisons-Laffitte, France, since 2002, alongside her work as a journalist at the International Herald Tribune. In March of 2008, she decided to leave her career in journalism to devote herself to training full time. The results have been more than solid: over 50 percent of her runners were in the money in 2018. Raised on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, Gina attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and began her career in journalism at the Milwaukee Journal in 1984. As turf writer for the Herald Tribune, Gina covered major race meetings around the world, including the Dubai World Cup, Royal Ascot, the Hong Kong International Races, the Breeders’Cup and the Prix de l’Arc deTriomphe.
