Louvre Museum

Louis XIV never liked the Louvre. The Sun King preferred his country place in Versailles to his city place on the banks of the Seine. But what was disdained as a royal residence is now revered by the public as the world’s greatest museum: 35,000 works of art displayed over 650,000 square feet of galleries, from treasures of the ancient world to the masters of the Italian Renaissance. With so much to see and such little time available the big question is: How best to experience it to the fullest?
